CHRISTMAS HAMPERS FOR DIEGO MARTIN FAMILIES IN NEED

WED DEC 20, 2023: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – “After COVID many families were unemployed.  The team and I decided to do food hampers and toys. It was one of the most amazing and emotional experiences for us.   We were thankful for the opportunity.  I am happy to be a part of the Digicel family, so proud of the company I work for.”  This is what Telesales agent, Ria Durity said about the ‘Digi Christmas is D Bess’ staff initiative.  Five (5) Digicel staff teams were shortlisted and received TT$10,000 toward a community project of their choice.

The first project was executed on Sunday 19 December by Ria Durity, Alia Nayak, Darielle Charles, Carla La Croix and Shondelle Brown from the Telesales team. They distributed food hampers valued at TT$500 and toys to 20 families-in-need based in the Diego Martin area. Four individuals also received a gift of a new phone donated by the Digicel Sales and Distribution Team.

In the week leading up to Christmas, five Digicel teams will use the TT$10,000 grant to execute social projects for the communities and spaces they care about. The winning groups include staff from the Digicel Retention Team, Digicel Internal Audit Team and the Telesales Team.
